About Us

Dreamwatch began life in 1983 as a home-produced fanzine called Doctor Who Bulletin (DWB), entirely dedicated to the long-running British show. Founded by Gary Leigh, DWB had a rogue, uncompromising passion for Doctor Who and soon found a following with its exclusive and unsanctioned insights into the show and its production.

In 1989 the scope of the magazine broadened to cover other genre shows, prompting a name change to DreamWatch Bulletin (so that the abbreviation DWB would remain intact). Then, in 1995, the magazine was relaunched in newsagents, called simply Dreamwatch and starting again from issue one.

Titan Magazines, Britain's leading publisher of licensed magazines, took over the title in 2001 where it continued to provide in-depth coverage on all things sci fi, fantasy and horror.

Following the final printed issue of the magazine in 2007, the new website Total Sci-Fi was launched to continue the Dreamwatch tradition of up-to-date news, expert reviews and exclusive features from the world of fantastic entertainment.
