The Horror Channel is hosting an alien invaders season in March. Sticking with its tendency to show forgotten B-movies, you won’t find any big-budget hits in the line-up, but that’s OK – ‘cos there’s nothing we like better than alien-themed B-movies!
On 5 March the channel is showing Alien Fury: Countdown to Invasion. This one is helmed by the director of Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan – and what greater recommendation do you need?
On Sat 12 March and Sunday 13 March you can see the two-part alien abduction mini-series Intruders (pictured) – which Total Sci-Fi can remember owning on video shortly after it came out in 1992.
There’s a two-part remake of the classic 1960s serial The Invaders on Saturday 19 March and Sunday 20th March, starring Quantum Leap’s Scott Bakula.
Then, on Sat 26 March, there’s 1999’s Roswell: The Aliens Attack – like the other movies in this line-up, you pretty much know what you’re getting from the title.
Finally, Alien Terminator is screening on Sunday 27 March. This isn’t the late-80s low-budget Franco Nero movie of the same title (if anyone else remembers that one), but rather the 1995 tale of a flesh-eating alien experiment. It’s directed by Dave Payne (Reeker).
