A blog that began as a fictional account of a woman trapped in a storeroom while zombies overrun the world has been turned into a novel, hitting bookshops on January 20, 2011.

Allison Hewitt is Trapped follows a woman named – yes! – Allison Hewitt who finds herself and a number of colleagues confined in the storeroom of Brookes & Peabody’s during a zombie apocalypse. Allison decides to blog about her experience in the hope of connecting with other survivors.

The author, Madeleine Roux, began blogging her story in September 2009. Earlier this year, after several months of silence, Roux announced to her readers that the blog would become a novel. She has also teased that a sequel is already in development.
