Stephan Smith Collins will star as Pinhead in the latest direct-to-DVD Hellraiser entry, Hellraiser: Revelations, reports Bloody Disgusting.

The latest entry in the franchise has nothing to do with the much-delayed Hellraiser remake.

SFX make-up designer Gary J. Tunnicliffe has penned the screenplay for the sequel, which follows two friends who unleash Pinhead. The two friends swear an oath to Pinhead, who has declared himself the master of pain. However, when one of the friends has second thoughts, he backs out of his oath to the master, and tries to swap himself out with one of his friend’s family members.

The original Pinhead, Doug Bradley, was not interested in reprising his role.

Direct-to-DVD sequel specialist Victor Garcia (Mirrors 2, Return to House on Haunted Hill) will direct the movie, which is due for release in the US next year.
