The start dates for the new Spider-Man movie and Men in Black III have been announced, according to ComingSoon.net.

The untitled Spider-Man reboot, which will be directed by Marc Webb, is due to start filming in Los Angeles in December this year. It was confirmed last month that Andrew Garfield (The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus) would play the role of Peter Parker and his web-slinging alter ego, Spider-Man.

Barry Sonnenfeld, who helmed the two previous Men In Black films, will direct the third instalment in the series, which will start filming in New York next month. Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones will reprise their roles as Agents J and K respectively. It has been confirmed that Josh Brolin and Flight of the Concords actor Jemaine Clement will also star.

In other news, after several weeks of speculation, Robert Rodriguez is currently in negotiations with 20th Century Fox to direct Deadpool, a spin-off from X-Men Origins: Wolverine, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Ryan Reynolds, who is currently filming superhero flick Green Lantern, has signed up to star as Deadpool, an assassin-for-hire whose crazy personality is a result of an experiment gone wrong. Rodriguez is currently in pre-production on Spy Kids 4: Armageddon.

Men In Black III is scheduled for release on May 25, 2012. The Spider-Man reboot follows on July 3, 2012.
