A third Robot Chicken Star Wars spoof is currently in production from adult-orientated television network Adult Swim, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode III follows two previous Emmy-nominated specials which parody all aspects of George Lucas’ iconic universe. The man behind C3-PO, Anthony Daniels, has been added to the voice line-up, along with Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) and Amed Best (Jar Jar Binks). High School Musical star Zac Efron will also be lending his vocal talents to the special.

The spoof will deviate slightly from its predecessors in that it will tell a more linear story from start to finish, rather than spoofing selected moments from the film saga.

"We wanted to take the Star Wars universe and see if through the eyes of our Robot Chicken: Star Wars Emperor Palpatine, Darth Vader, Boba Fett and Gary the Stormtrooper," said co-creator Matthew Senreich.

"We'll still flip around the universe but we'll get a unique perspective from the bad guy side, from people who just want to rule the universe," he added.

Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode III will air in the US on December 12, 2010.
