Titan Comics have announced that issue #1 of Torchwood comic will debut at Comic-Con International, featuring a story by John Barrowman with art from Tommy Lee Edwards.

Attendees at the convention will have the opportunity to purchase a copy of Torchwood #1 before it hits comic stores on August 10. The issue features a cover exclusive to Comic-Con International by British artist Ian Churchill.

Edwards and Barrowman’s story, ‘Captain Jack and the Selkie’, centres on Captain Jack as he faces a deadly threat on a remote Scottish island.

Edwards will be signing copies of Torchwood #1 on Saturday July 24th in Autograph Alley (room AA20) from 11am-12.30pm. Visitors to the Titan booth (#5537) will receive a FREE exclusive Torchwood comic bookmark.

Comic-Con International takes place in San Diego from July 22-25, 2010.
