Plans for a console version of Star Trek’s multiplayer online game Star Trek Online have been axed.
Craig Zinkievich, executive producer at Cryptic Games who were making the game, cited business problems for the reason why they stopped work on the console version. “We've had it up and running on certain consoles, and had plans and designs in order to take advantage of those platforms,” said Zinkievich. “But as it stands right now it's a little difficult to make that final leap on the business side of things.”
The PC version of Star Trek Online was released this February to mixed reviews.
