A huge sale of Doctor Who and Torchwood props and costumes raised above-expectation prices at the Bonhams Auction held on February 24th.
The £18,000 raised by the Torchwood team's SUV was only beaten by the £20,400 paid for a Mark I version of a Dalek, as seen in the 1988 story Remembrance of the Daleks. An Imperial Dalek from the same story was sold for £15,600 while a Cyberman from The Five Doctors fetched £9,600.
While the 10th Doctor's dress outfit as seen in Voyage of the Damned reached £5,040, the Next Doctor's outfit raised £3,120, while the costume worn by Sylvester McCoy's companion Ace reached £3,240.
The final lot, a Brontosaurus model from the 1974 story Invasion of the Dinosaurs, was sold for £1,320.
