Jessika Borsiczky, Lisa Zwerling and Tim Lea have been appointed as showrunners for ABC's troubled sci-fi drama FlashForward, following the departure of David S. Goyer last week.

Borsiczky, who is married to David Goyer, was already part of the showrunning team, while Zwerling has worked with John Wells on ER and Presidio Med. Lea's credits include CSI: New York.

ABC has also decided to reduce the show's run to 22 episodes. The network had increased the order to 25 in October, but later brought it down to 24, and then 23. This means the new team will be solely responsible for the final four episodes. According to Variety, the changes have come about as the show's creative focus continues to be tweaked.

FlashForward returns March 18th on ABC, and March 21st on Five in the UK.
