Although it had been anticipated that new episodes of FlashForward would resume in January, ABC has decided that the show won't be coming back until March 4th.

The network recently confirmed that the production had a brief shutdown extending the Thanksgiving weekend, although they noted that this had been built into the schedule from the start to allow the writers and producers some time to recharge.

The new date means new episodes of the show won't clash with the Winter Olympics, the stated reason for the decision to run the rest of V's first season starting on March 30th after the first four were aired last month.

UK broadcaster Channel Five aired this week's episode of FlashForward ahead of its US transmission, and has yet to announce whether it will be maintaining that pattern with the remaining instalments of the first season.
