Ba’al, the leader of the serpentine parasitic Goa’uld, has been voted the top Stargate villain by readers of Total Sci-Fi and Stargate Magazine.

The powerful System Lord, played by Cliff Simon, first appeared in the SG-1 season 5 episode ‘Summit’. He went on to become Stargate’s longest running villain in his never-ceasing quest for power.

Michael Kenmore, the Wraith commander who was converted into a half-wraith hybrid, came in second place, while there were also votes for Todd, Adria, and Anubis.

The new villains-themed issue of Titan Publishing’s official Stargate Magazine is released on 27 October 2009 (US) and 12 November 2009 (UK).
