Frost/Nixon and The Queen writer Peter Morgan will be co-scripting the next James Bond adventure, currently simply known as Bond 23.
Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who have co-written the Bond movies since 1999's The World Is Not Enough, will be working with Morgan on the screenplay. Morgan is currently penning The Special Relationship for HBO and Hereafter for DreamWorks, and will then start work on the screenplay.
“Peter, Neal and Robert are extraordinarily talented and we’re looking forward to working with the three of them,” EON Films executive producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said in a statement. MGM hope that the next film, in which Daniel Craig will return for his third appearance as 007, will be released in 2011.
