Although CBS has ordered four additional episodes of the vampire detective series Moonlight to air during the 2007/08 season, no one has been appointed to act as showrunner.

The series has had numerous different executives in its short history, including Angel's David Greenwalt. Chip Johannessen most recently exited, and is not expected to be replaced this season.

Executive producer Joel Silver and the writing team will collectively oversee the new episodes, and if CBS picks up the drama for a second season, it is likely that a new showrunner will be found then.
